The Start

My story begins at the age of 6 when I started competing in tumbling—a dynamic form of gymnastics. By the age of 10, I had competed internationally in France and Portugal and even won the British Championships! However, at 13, I decided to step away from tumbling and explore something new.

The Up's & the Down's

This led me to cheerleading at my local club, where I absolutely fell in love with the sport (well, apart from the dancing—definitely not my strong suit! 🤣). By 19, my team earned a bid to the World Championships in Orlando, Florida. Unfortunately, the pandemic had other plans, and COVID prevented this dream from becoming a reality.

The Change

Sadly, my cheerleading journey ended as university took over. Training to become a Paramedic wasn’t easy—especially with placements and shift work.

How it Started

During lockdown, Oli and I decided to take a leap and start our own gym wear business. And just like that, LiftUnion was born! In September 2021, we went live, and what a journey it’s been ever since.

My Difficulties

In my final year of university, I faced a really difficult time and made the tough decision to take a year out. It was during this period that I first thought about pursuing my PT qualifications. But I knew deep down that finishing my degree was my top priority.

How It's Going

Fast forward to graduation: after earning my degree and working as a Paramedic for NEAS, I realized it was time to follow my passion. I dedicated 4–5 months to completing my PT qualifications, and in April 2024, I started working in a gym.
